January – became Deputy Editor, contributor and blogger at the Cherwell, Oxford University’s independent student newspaper. Whilst there I conducted interviews with many cultural figures such as Michael Bond, Roger McGough, Owen Sheers, Rory MacLean & Richard Mabey



December – won the Geoff Stevens Memorial Poetry Prize

December – performed at Gin & Phonics and various other poetry readings across Oxford University

November – wrote the stage play ‘Valuables’, which was performed at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University

October – founded Slap, Oxford University’s independent poetry pamphlet



January – ran various workshops and read at events within the charity Hope Support Services



August – became Herefordshire Young Poet Laureate. Among other things I opened the 2011 Ledbury Poetry Festival and ran a workshop in a Hereford primary School with children’s poet Brian Moses
